Qualifications

The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements (or be able to within a specified period):

  • Minimum 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or GED

  • CPR/First Aid Certification

  • Prevention and Support training

  • Article 9 training (and Article 8 preferred)

  • Ability to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card

  • Must pass an extensive criminal background check

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills preferred

  • Reliable transportation preferred

  • Passion for supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities

  • Ability to multitask and think critically

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

  • Must complete and pass all necessary training prior to providing services

Paid Holidays

Desert Harmony Care designates seven premium-pay holidays each year:


New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.


Employees who work on these days will be paid 1.5x their base pay for all hours worked from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

 

Vacation & Sick Days

  • Full-time employees: Eligible for PTO and Sick Time after 90 days

  • Part-time employees: Eligible for Sick Time after 90 days
